Welcome to the website of the Texas Tech Student Society of Health-System Pharmacists, aka "Double T."

Our Mission

The mission of the Texas Tech Student Society of Health-System Pharmacists (TTSSHP) is to bring awareness of pharmacy practice in health-systems and clinical pharmacy practice settings, provide information to students about career directions in and credentials needed for pharmacy practice in health-systems and clinical pharmacy practice settings, and encourage membership and participation in state and national health-systems pharmacy organizations as a student and upon graduation.

TTSSHP has over 100 members who are pharmacy students enrolled in the PharmD program at the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Pharmacy, one of the United States' more well known, multi-campus, technology-integrated and clinically-oriented PharmD programs. We are an affiliated student society of the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) a 30,000+ member national organization of pharmacists from diverse areas of the profession of pharmacy, particularly all areas of clinical pharmacy and beyond. TTSSHP is also affiliated with the Texas Society of Health-System Pharmacists (TSHP), one of the largest state health-systems pharmacy organizations in the United States, and TSHP's affiliated local societies: the Panhandle Society of Health-System Pharmacists (PSHP) in Amarillo, TX, the Metroplex Society of Health-System Pharmacists (MSHP) in the Dallas/Ft Worth Metroplex, and the Lubbock-Area Society of Hospital Pharmacists (LASHP) in Lubbock, TX.
