Family Medicine Mentoring Program (FMMP)

The Department of Family and Community Medicine at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center is dedicated to teaching medicine. Knowing that the first stages for entering a career in medicine begin in undergraduate, they have started a mentoring program to help inform prospective medical students about the role of a physician.

To join the FMMP, Texas Tech students simply need to be an official member of the Dr. Bernard Harris Premedical Society and be within 1 year of making their application to medical school. Membership is available to any and all students at Texas Tech University and/or Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center.

If you are an underclassmen, and are interested in having a mentor, please consider joining the Medical Student Mentoring Program (MSMP). Contact the program advisor, Trevor Yates, at 806.743.2297.
