Internal Medicine Club

What is a Preceptorship?

A preceptorship is a period of practical experience and training for a medical student that is supervised by an expert or specialist in a particular field.

What is available if I am interested in Internal Medicine?

Students can begin their clinical experience during three- or four-week preceptorships where they will work with qualified Internists, interact with patients, and learn important clinical skills including history-taking, physical exam, diagnosis, and developing treatment plans. This experience will help students apply classroom knowledge to real world situations and understand the day-to-day work of Internists.
